But there was no ball and definitely no girl! The next day we were telling our other friend from the block about what had happened. His mom overheard the story and interrupted. She then continued to describe the little girl from the color of her hair to her approx.
Age to the clothing she wore and described it to a tee! She said she was happy to hear that the girl was still around. She had seen her in her house before many times but it had been

a while since the last time!.

My daughter and I were driving east on 23rd Avenue in Lake Station. I was about to tell her to slow down because I saw a young boy skipping toward the road from a side yard but she also saw the boy and put on the brakes to slow down.
Imagine our surprise when there wasn't a little boy or anyone else around when we took a second look. Comparing what we saw we both realized it was like viewing an old black and white movie and the little boy was dressed in old time clothing.
Needless to say we both take a second look every time we drive by that spot. Haven't seen anything like it since.
