Comment by Dave: I just read this comment and was flooded by memories of this event. I didn't realize until I read this that I too had a sulfur smell in the air. We live close to the steel mills so that smell isn't uncommon.
If it was from the mill it usually hangs in the air but this smell was gone in minutes after my encounter.
