turning them off every time that we left,) my dad decided to cancel the power and took the light bulbs out. The final straw for me was when I came back to pack up the bathroom and I found the water in the bathtub running. My mother's suicide had taken place in the bathroom. She had taken 3 bottles of sleeping pills and was taking a bubble bath when she passed.
That was it for me. I told my father that I would not be returning the house and if

he wanted anything else from the house he would have to hire movers which he did.
As time went on, I did research on the house and found out that

there were several stories about the neighborhood, one of which stating that it was built on a burial ground. Woodlawn Avenue is close to the Trail of Death so that story does not surprise me. To this day, I don't know what it was in that house that caused the darkness, but I was told by the people who lived there in the past after my father and I moved that the man has shown himself to them and has never posed any problem to them.
