I lived in a historical home in downtown Madison on Broadway. I lived there two years it was so creepy. My room was in the upstairs and I would always hear feet tapping downstairs and I would be home all alone.
Rumor has it an old dentistry was established there soon after the home now was built. The home had old fake gas fire pits; it would be so weird. In the middle of the summer I would wake up to the gas fire pits on.

One time I had opened the windows upstairs; went up there the next morning and all the windows were busted. My electric would go out, the shower would turn on and off. And my dog disappeared one night mysteriously. I searched everywhere and couldn't find him.

I finally moved out and the next house I moved in to which was on Second Street nothing ever happened there, and it was also a historical home. That house will always give me the creeps..

My mom told me when she was locked up they had intercom boxes without wires. She would hear voices come across them. Then she would often hear a squeaky wheel shortly followed by a little girl laughing! She also asked a very no nonsense veteran guard who stated yes he had seen the little girl and that he no longer will work on certain dorms. In his words, ''it's the most haunted place in the world.''.
