My parents owned a small shop in old Metamora when I was a teenager. A group of other shop owners kids would always roam the streets and hang out together after closing time of the last shop. We had one friend who lived on top of the hill by the picnic tables just around the curve to the gas station.
One time we were all outside this friends house deciding what to do that night. It was dark. As we were talking a man in all black was walking up the hill.

Very strange. It's literally a ghost town after closing time.
He had what looked like a large brimmed cowboy hat and a like a trench coat all black.

He walked like his feet dragged very slowly. A girl we were with wanted to approach him. I said I wouldn't. She didn't move away from us but she screamed out hey.
With no response she said are you lost. He mumbled something in return like ''no I'm fine'' without ever stopping or turning his head towards us. Never could see his face.
