I was a counselor and HJ at Lenmary. As an HJ we roomed in the lodge, and I had a similar incident, but I woke hearing someone close a drawer and then the footsteps heading down the hall to the bathroom. I jumped up to go with them, but there was no one in the hall or bathroom. When I got down there I literally ran back to our room and jumped in bed. Also when I was a counselor my CIT ''Mocha'' was sick and sleeping in the creepy room at the bottom of the stairs to the third floor. She woke up hearing two people talking about her (being there) but no one was there. She told me it looked like a creepy pale blue light but no one in the room.

I was a camper HJ and counselor at Camp Lenmary in New Trenton (just across the bridge from town)... In the summer of '71 when I was an HJ (''horse-jumper'' we took care of the horses) the HJ's room was in a double sized room on the second floor of the lodge, it was around 3:00 am when I woke up because our door bounced open (I describe it this way because the doorknob was missing, and we kept a beach towel over the door - so that no-one would shut it) as if someone had tried to shut it hard - and I heard footsteps going down the long hall (that ran the length of the 2nd floor)....
I jumped up because I thought one of the other HJ's was on the way to the bathroom and I hated going alone at night because of all the noises in the lodge ... I opened the door fully, stepped out into the hallway and I could still hear the footsteps so I ran down the hall turned the corner to the bathroom -heard the footsteps still someone (or something) blocked the nightlight (in the bathroom) for a second ...
But the door didn't close so I ran up to the bathroom thinking I'd see one of the other girls (that I roomed with) and laugh with them about being frightened ... But it was empty ... I ran back to the room yanked the beach towel off the door slammed it shut jumped in bed - the slamming door woke up one of the others ...
I told her what happened and to say the least we held it 'til morning (it took forever to get to sleep ... There were quite a few paranormal incidents ... That happened at Lenmary .... It had been an old hotel in the 1800s and turn of the century. the Delacroix and then the YWCA camp from around 1920 into the late 70s ...
But don't get me wrong, it had deep positive feelings also ... My counselor name was ''Kap'' and the pictures are of the lodge when it was the Delacroix '1903 when it was Camp Lenmary from a 1927's camp postcard - showing the ''66 steps'' a '68 shot and '70 shot of the driveway to the lodge (which is right behind the trees) and what is left of the stone wall 2012 (in front of the lodge- as previously seen in the 2 postcards).
