I did some research on the haunted farm on the east Schnellville Road and the haunted bridge that is on the property that is on Saint Anthony Road West. I was trying to decide if it was worth my time to check out. I had driven past the farm, but I never turned at the cross road that goes over the bridge. I did a geological search, soil search, and history search on the property. What I found was the property was a lot different. Back in 1849 the land was

sold through the patent office. The land was part of Indian treaty land that had been a village on the edge of a swampy lake. Part of the swamp was drained,

and a water mill was put up by the creek bridge on Saint Anthony Road west, but the swamp was not drained as it was mostly quicksand. It was mostly used for hunting and fishing.
Several people over the years back then entered the swamp and were never seen again, presumed to have gotten stuck in the quicksand. However, the people who did return from the swamp reported that they saw the tracks of a bare foot child on sand bars. Some believed there
