I lived in Schererville my entire life. Now on Austin Avenue. I don't know what I saw or how to explain this. One late night I was coming home from my girlfriend's a dark figure threw themselves into my car as I drove. I thought I killed someone. They disappeared before impact. I almost flew off the road. I stopped and got out of my car on Austin Avenue and looked in terror. I know what just happened but could not believe it. I then went the

next day to the Schererville library and other libraries in hopes of finding information about a death on the road in years past. Maybe a hit and run.

Anything. I found nothing. This happened 2 years ago. I'm scared driving home on Austin at night. It was the ghost of a person.

Comment by Lee: My mom's family lived in 17xx Austin Avenue in Schererville and were the original owners I believe We had a poltergeist-like entity that liked to move things. Showers would turn on in the middle of the night, or the toilet would flush. My family figured out that it was the spirit of a scorned ex-girlfriend Margaret of owner. Always scared to sleep in the house if we ever visited. The house next door on Wilhem Street has sightings too!.
