not find a cubby (or what are called now dead mans holes) and was swept under and beheaded. No Shannon roams the tunnel ever night with a lantern looking for his head.
Something else that is Peculiar about the tunnel is that the name Shannon is carved into a rock on the top of the tunnel with it dating 1920 (the time that the accident occurred).

I heard for many years in the train tunnel at night you can see a floating light that cannot be broken going threw the tunnel that is believed to be one of the workers that built the tunnel in 1908!.
