told him about the woman and looked the other way and she was gone! The time elapsed between him walking off and coming back was maybe 2 1 / 2 minutes.
The time between her walking off and him walking up was maybe 1 minute. We looked in every direction. We happened to be at the bottom of a large valley. She couldn't have walked up the hills in either direct because they were too steep anywhere near where we were.
She didn't go the direction of my friend

because the would have bumped into each other. She only had one way to go and that was the direction she was traveling which was up the valley further.

At this time our friend who walked off thought we were lying but we insisted it happened.
Then I looked up the valley to see what the nearest cover she could have disappeared behind was. It was a small stand of Evergreen (fur) trees about 200 yards up the valley. So I told my friends to time me as I ran as fast as possible up the VA lley to the trees.
It took me longer than the elapsed time. I also looked into the trees while there and there
