My great grandfather owned three houses on Grace Street. One was a funeral home as he was a mortician. My great aunt, his daughter, inherited the home. He also owned a small home on the highway; it is also the one my mother inherited across from funeral home. I would on daily basis visit my great aunt. The stories I told her, she believed. She would always say ''I know''. She died an old maid. My parents, on the other hand, never believed a word I said.

one year my parent divorced. My father kept the house, and lo and behold he started to realize something was there. One night during the winter I slept

downstairs in the front room with solid oak flooring and plaster walls. I heard footsteps in that very room I was in. My father also heard, and he startled me by appearing in the French door's opening and asked me why I was up walking around. It wasn't me, and he knew it.
Other strange events unfolded in both homes that I was aware of. I was in my single digit age. A home on the same block, which was my friend's, was haunted also. We would spend the
