One Friday night in late September back in 1983 I was a freshman at Lee Co. High School, and the fair was in town for the weekend. My friend Johnny and I were staying the night with another Friend, David who lived back in Lower Creek. He lived closest to town, and it was a rare chance that we all three got to hang out together since Johnny lived way out in Leeco.
We left the fair around 11:00 pm, and we got to the shortcut to David's house which

was the old spare rail road tracks that split off the from the newer rail tracks just behind the court house where they sometimes stored extra coal cars

that led to the old train bridge that you had to drive under to get to Lower Creek. That was the short cut to David's house.
Well as we got going down the old tracks, and it was getting darker in the woods, David stopped and yelled out ''boys did you see that?'' Both Johnny and I were looking down at the uneven tracks to keep from tripping and had not seen what David saw, and we said ''see what?'' David said he had seen a man glowing on the tracks
