with no head. We laughed, but he said he wasn't going down those tracks, and he had a terrified look on his face, so I told him we would take the long way through town on Main Street and towards Slab Town.
We turned down the gravel road that went into Lower Creek that went under the old train bridge near where the car wash is now and walked to his house. David lived with his grandma, and she had a late dinner waiting on us when we got there.

We ate and were sitting on the porch. A police car drove up the road and pulled in across the street. A cop got out and let out Donnie from the back seat.

Donnie and his brother Herschel were friends that lived across from David. Donnie went into the house, and the cop left. A few minutes later his older brother Herschel who was a year older and on the varsity Basketball team, came walking home with some other guys that were on the team.
We asked Herschel what happened to Donnie. He said ''boys you won't believe what we saw walking home on the shortcut home, a man glowing on the tracks with no
