I did not see anything, but I felt a strong Native American presence. I just knew that's what it was. My girlfriend and I started to sing in what reminded me of Native American songs as well. I went to a part of the land we were at and got a sharp feeling from a spirit, and I felt like it was telling me to go away and that I didn't belong there. After I stepped back I felt like I was welcome because they knew I would appreciate and respect the land.

The Ohio River is haunted in many places along its flow and Cloverport is a perfect example. There have been sightings along the riverbank of Native American spirit apparitions. I have never been lucky enough to see one of these apparitions but I have seen misty outlines of figures.
My mother once saw one of these Native American apparitions in her childhood. She says it was a little girl that appeared in front of her and smiled at her then faded away. I have heard many similar stories from other people about this area.
