A house on 8th Avenue in Fort Knox is haunted. As a kid, I always felt sick near the middle house when I played in the back field. It always was hot and smelled like burnt food. It was always darker, and even the squirrels would avoid that house. I hope no one lives there. It would scare anyone. It just like all the stories on here about that street and that house. I believe them all. Submitted by Justin

We live in Chestnut Glen on Figg Street formally Jamison Street. First of all I don’t think I’m crazy now after reading all these stories. I have heard several noises and footsteps and have seen faces looking around the corner at me from our kitchen. At first I thought I was seeing things, but now I feel like there is a presence. We have heard knocks in the hallway like a loud knock on the door. I have changed multiple light bulbs that constantly blow. Please provide some insight to me if you can. Looking for others who have had this experience. Rlancewalters@yahoo.com .

You believe what you want. I pray to the holy God and the blessed virgin to protect me. One week I was cutting grass on 8th Avenue. (It was my job to cut all the grass in that neighborhood.) I was cutting the back alley of houses. I saw a thin man standing in his yard with his back turned. He had on an old uniform but nothing too scary. I skip his house to come back to it. I do that all time. I looked back, and the guy still had his back to me. No matter which way I went he was looking away, so I had no yard left but his. I went to cut it, and he was still in the yard looking away just under the big tree.
Something told me to skip it, but I got a job to do I headed straight to his yard, and he moved behind the tree to go up in the house. I get closer, and this person was still behind the tree. I got up there, and he was gone. I looked behind me on the lawn mower thinking he circled around the tree behind me. Nope, no one. There was just a patch of dead grass where he was standing. I drove my lawn mower back to the trailer, parked it, and quit on the spot. I work at Ace Hardware now in Radcliff. Never scared before but that house is haunted, and I saw it with my own eyes.
