Once I heard a lady say a sentence, and four other times I've heard a man, and once two men talking. I've heard my name called at least five times. I don't feel anything means harm but we are not alone.

I am 21 now but I spent ages 7-12 living on 8th Avenue. I never slept easy there. I saw shadows in the hall all the time and the basement was a highly active area. Stuff would move, noises and shouts would be heard.

My dog would growl at nothing and follow ''someone'' as it walked across the room. I would hear music every night coming from my closet which had a pull-down trapdoor that led to the attic that our family never opened.

You always got the feeling that you were being watched and things would move/shuffle in front of you. This spirit was not a nice one. I would wake up to see a shadow lurking by the closet. The moment I screamed for my parents it would dissolve into the closet.
My parents also had several hundred ghost-encounters. I cannot express how haunted and terrible this house was. I never slept a single good night there. Most nights I would lay awake with my eyes wide open.
It will affect me the rest of my life.

Comment by Dux: We lived on 8th Avenue in the early 70s, and it was the only really scary place I've ever lived. It was terrifying, and I still think about it often.
