I didn't understand, and I said we couldn't move and went to take a shower. When I came out, she was gone with our daughter. I knew better than to chase after her because her father was a strong southern man, and if his daughter came home, he'd have ''words'' with me before we actually talked. I then decided to go in the basement. I turned the light on and went down the stairs. It smelled like burnt turkey, but besides that everything seemed fine.

all the lights ''popped'' and burnt out. In that second as my eyes adjusted, I saw a dead man standing by the basement door that led out. He was surrounded

by the same light orbs that everyone else is talking about. Then he flew at me at a wink of an eye, and I threw my hands up to block, and I felt the wind and stench of burnt flesh as he flew through me into the back wall. I then passed out.
I woke up the next morning with a bad headache. I was four hours late for work, and I caught hell. I spent the next eight weeks with the basement door blocked with the oven and looking for a nice house off post.
