Man, everyone has had bad experiences with ghosts. I live on 5th Avenue (145XB). I'll be honest this isn't as bad compared to where I came from last. (I lived in the stand alone home off Huebner Road which was built in 1855 that was a real scare.) Anyway I'm blessed for a ghost that won't scare you to death. The experiences I've had in the home have been small; for instance, our house neighbor just moved out, and I was home alone. I heard loud talking coming from the basement, but as soon as I opened the door it stopped. Another moment was a loud crash and bang that came from the basement. I was again home alone, and when I went down there I found nothing except for a knocked over box and all the lights were on. (We never keep all of them on.)

However, the worst of it happened to my mom. She was downstairs doing laundry when all of a sudden she got really cold and saw something in the corner of her eye. She was having a rough day and very loudly told the ghost to knock it off and to leave her alone. She told me almost instantly the cold sensation went away. I will give a ghost credit where it's due. Once I was carrying a lot of laundry down to the basement, and the light was off. I was halfway down the stairs when the lights turned on. I was more happy than scared, but I thought it was funny.

Side note: For all the folks who lived in or around Van Voorhis, all the homes were torn down (the ugly 2-story quadruplex buildings). Same thing with Estrada so majority of these places might not be haunted anymore. However, I can't speak for those people. For all I know those ghosts could've died with the demolition.

I lived in Fort Knox for about a year and a half. We were supposed to stay there for at least 2 1/2 years but the darkness around that area got the best of me. We actually lived in one of the new developments on W. Chaffey Ave. When we first moved in nothing seemed out of the ordinary but as the days passed I started hearing a lot of noise in our house. I used to have fear of little things. Things as simple as going downstairs to get some water in the middle of the night.
