Nothing makes you a believer like having you own encounter. Many times over the years I've thought about sending a letter to that address just asking if the current occupants have had any strange experiences, but so far I haven't.

Okay, I am going to sound crazy, but I just moved into a house on Bluff Avenue. The hose had harbored squatters for a while before we moved in. The place was in bad disrepair, so we had to clean before we moved in. I am a 16-year-old girl and have had many dealings with the paranormal, and I am sensitive to it. I am the most sensitive one in my house to it. I stayed the night in the house with no electricity in the basement. It felt as if a man had walked into the room that I was in. I became scared instantly. I decided to pull out my phone and record the room.

The only light I had was a lantern and my phone. I held it up and turned on the flash and began to talk to it. I asked if it was there, it could walk in front of the camera for me. At that moment a ghost orb appeared on the camera in front of me. I became spooked, and the feeling didn't leave until I heard my mom and aunt show up with my sisters and cousin. Once he disappeared I got a strong sad feeling and begun to cry even though I was fine. I screamed for my mom and then told her what happened. She became pale and told me what she knew.

A man had died in the basement on Christmas Eve. He was a friend of my mom's, but she didn't want to tell me out of fear that it would scare me since my room was in the basement. I proceeded to show her the video. She told me they hadn't found him till he began to decompose and the fire department was sent to do a welfare check on him. They could smell his corps from upstairs near the front door. We moved in, and from time to time I feel him pull on my blanket, or I feel a hand on my shoulder as I cry due to breakups or friend issues.
One night when my ex-friend was over we downloaded a ghost box app. We thought it was fake, and we thought it would be funny to play with it. She was aware of the past of the house and the fact that there is a cemetery visible from my kitchen window; it was practically my backyard. We turned it on and began to ask questions. I asked the typical question on the name and once the app spoke we turned whiter than a sheet; it was his name. We thought it a coincidence, so we asked when he died, and it spits out the word Christmas.
We started to get very scared, so we asked one more question, ''where are you?'' Then it said ''behind you''. We began to cry, shutting off the app and running upstairs. I'm not scared of him anymore, and I view him as a friend now. I tried googling it, but nothing ever came up. If anyone else has a similar experience, please email me at epic.idiot.221 @gmail.com.
