My family and I lived in Paducah KY in the mid-70''s just before and after my second child was born. We lived across from Bob Noble Park for a few months then a friend of my husband told us about a cheaper house on Kentucky Avenue across from Baptist hospital.
Well we moved there in July of 1976 and though the house needed work badly we loved it. The most exciting thing that happened at fist was helicopters flying in and out of Baptist hospital

at all hours.
Sounded just like a tornado but not harmful. That winter was the worst for that area and we were snow bound for much of it. One night

during the worst of it I had put the children to bed and went in the bathroom to take a bath.
While I was in there it sounded just like there was a party going on in the kitchen and dining room. You could hear indistinct conversation and soft music. I went to check and found nothing out of place; the kids were still asleep.
The floor furnace in the living room kept blowing itself out with loud booms and there was a closet in the bathroom that
