There is a ghost behind my house, in, or close to Paintsville. I do not want to disclose the location. Sometimes he visits my basement, which I have tried to stay away from for over 50 years. It makes me uncomfortable when I mow grass in a certain area behind my house. I remember ALWAYS avoiding and being afraid of that area. Hair stands up on my nape and arms, and I become almost frantic to look behind me.
A few years ago I found out that the swamp behind our house had been used in the old days as a dump for sick cows from the stock sales. They were executed once they reached the swamp. An informant had told police that a man who had disappeared years before had also been murdered and deposited in the same swamp. Little attempt was made at the time, in the 40s or 50s, to determine if this was true.

Having watched many episodes of Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc. , I now apologize and announce aloud that I will hurry when I cut the grass there. But I still get the chills, and I haven't been in my basement in years. He stays out of my house, and I try to stay out of his basement.

Jun 2013 I had been at my aunt's house, got up at 4 am, left her house at 4:15 on old Rt One Webville, KY, passed the old bridge heading toward Fallsburg to pick up a friend. On our way to the doctor about a half a mile after passing the bridge there is a sharp curve, my head lights were on bright. I saw a young man walking toward me, I was thinking to myself that it was too cold for someone out that time of morning to be walking.
I could see him real well; he had black pants, a white t shirt, a black hoodie on, and around his neck a big necklace, real bright. I was saying boy he sure has the bling on, my head lights were shinning off it. I never saw his face, he had the hoodie pulled over his head. I went into the other Lane to miss him and he was gone. All at once I started crying, I couldn't stop crying. I looked in my mirrors and then I stopped. I was crying so hard I couldn't drive. I was looking in my seat to find something to wipe my face. I remember saying God what's wrong with me; then I stopped crying as fast as I started .
