Sometimes you can see the ghost of a hobo on the old railroad bridge. Just keep an eye on the railroad bridge when you drive over the car bridge next to it. You will see a man standing on the bridge and then vanish in an instance. No one knows who this man was. It is assumed that he was a non-local hobo that was hit by a train there and his body fell in the river never to be recovered. It's sad that he just disappeared that way and no one is looking for him. I guess that might be reason he haunts the place where he died. Submitted by anonymous
Comment by WP resident: In one of the West Point history books by Richard Briggs, he notes that a man fell and was buried alive in the middle pillar of the train bridge while it was being poured. This could explain the ''hobo'' apparition.
