I live in government housing on North Maple Road in Ann arbor, and I experienced some things weird. My boy friend came to visit me, and he started acting weird. We had to put him in a mental hospital, and things were happening. I was putting some shoes away in a box. When I turned around I heard a bang sound. Then I turned back to see the shoes put next to one another looking my way.

This probably doesn't qualify as a ghost, but I'd rather get this off my chest as I've only told a few people in my life, and I'm certain that all of them have forgotten. In the mid 80s my family lived in a townhouse complex not far from campus. My dad stayed up late for work, so I habitually got up late at night to pick up and things to help out before going to bed.

I woke up randomly well after midnight feeling totally unnerved. The house was pitch black, and everyone was asleep then I heard my father's boots slowly coming up the stairs from where I neglected to bring them up earlier. In terror and looking at the door facing the steps, I witnessed a ''creature'' form in the boots and walk into the door frame of my bedroom. He was tall and red, and I can only say he looked like the devil. I was terrified but wide awake and couldn't move from the bed.

My younger brother was totally asleep in his bed about six feet away from me. The ''nameless thing'' was holding some sort of thing in his far hand (a pole or spear or something) and pointed at me with his other hand while staring with haunting eyes. It made no sound the entire time, but I was terrified. I pulled the covers over my head hoping he'd disappear, but that didn't happen. He only was there for probably a minute or so, but it felt like forever. Finally after just laughing and glaring with this evil look, it turned and started walking toward my parents' bedroom and then disappeared just as it came.
My brother still didn't wake up or move. Even though I feared for my parents, it took me several minutes to gather up the courage to go to them. Eventually, I ran out of the room leaving my brother behind over the boots in the hallway and into my parent's room panicked and frightened. In the end the only idea that I could come up with was that was the devil, but that's just a guess.
