Like J. M. , I also worked at Monitor Sugar in Bay City, but back in the mid-90's before it became known today as Michigan Sugar. Specifically, as a security guard, and I usually always worked third shift so that I could attend classes at SVSU during the day. Admittedly, this was probably the easiest job I ever had since it allowed me to finish my homework in the tiny guard shack when I wasn't busy making my security rounds, and it usually was completely dead (no pun intended) at night during the off season months. During my nearly four years of employment as a security guard, I became very well acquainted with the factory grounds and buildings. I will admit that there were several areas, mostly in the oldest parts of the factory, that always made me feel uneasy when I made my rounds.
And I had heard the same stories about the gruesome deaths that had occurred over the years. After all, this factory was around long before OSHA. But unlike J. M. , I never heard any phantom voices over my radio nor did I ever see anything terribly frightening. Occasionally, I'd encounter a large rodent that might startle me during my rounds, but definitely nothing paranormal. And I never heard of anyone ever walking off their job because they were frightened.

Comment by Jq: That place is haunted. I have heard that from a lot of people.
