My husband and I do not live far from Bear Lake. We live in Mesick, MI. When we moved into our cabin apartment I got the feeling that someone had died in the house. I was right. We met someone on the bus and he told us that his uncle died sitting on the toilet in the house.
Also I saw a black cat one morning, but our cat was grey. The cat was sitting and facing one corner in the bedroom. I blinked and he was gone. I asked the neighbor if any previous owners ever owned a cat.

She told me that they did and it was a black cat!.

The quiet town of Bear Lake has been my home for over two decades now. However in all my years of being a resident I have never considered the history and paranormal side of this place until just this year when I joined ufpi (unseen friends paranormal investigators).
We recently did an investigation on a house just on highway 31 just within the village limits. My uncle who recently passed away inside the house was said to possibly be still there in spirit. My stepfather and mom who was cleaning up the house after the event found a broom that they had leaned against the wall balancing perfectly on the tip of it's bristles on the floor.
It remained there as it was until I saw it for myself. Now very interested I did some research and discovered that there had been more than one death in the house. Most of which were in the same family who all lived there.
