I live on Leeson Court in Cadillac, Michigan. We moved here almost six years ago when I was twelve. I liked the house at first. It was really nice and considering the circumstances it gave us a good fresh start. My sister and I had the room just to the right of the master bedroom where my mother slept. I didn't sleep in my bed. I slept on the floor in the closet. It made me feel safe.
There's one room in this house that even to this day

I won't go into unless I absolutely need to. There is a room next to the bathroom at the end of the hall, and it's pretty small compared to other two

rooms. It was supposed to be my brother's room. He never slept in his own room. My sister and I moved into the master bedroom when my mother realized that we had more stuff than she did.
In the room next door I can hear the floor creaking like someone is walking back and forth in there. Nobody ever goes in that room. I can hear the creaking through my closet walls. Every time I walk past the room I feel worried and emotional. It was as if I
