by W. Nowlin the history of the area.
There were many Indians present and many areas where for punishment they would burn tribe members at the stake in the woods. At that time (1840's) there were still burned spots where an Indian was killed.
All of the above occurs and occurred where those burned area were and now the park and my home sit.

Years ago, I was driving down Monroe Street in my hometown of Dearborn around 3:30-4 am. There was no other cars around but as I was approaching our local funeral home I witnessed a younger looking man, white as a ghost, dressed up in a suit that was coming from the direction of the funeral home.
I will never forget the way he looked. He was walking very fast and had evil eyes that stared me down. I had a few of my friends in the car and they all witnessed the exact same thing.
