I grew up on Gascony Street in East Detroit. Never East Pointe. Anyway, our house was haunted. It didn't happen often. My mother would stay up late and hear someone walking up the stairs. Nothing was there. My sisters and mother had encounters but kept them secret as I did. I had experienced two most chilling true eyewitness events.
Six months after my father died my mom, sister, and I were sitting in the kitchen. Our front doorbell never worked.

My mother said out loud, ''Vince, I wished you fixed the door bell.'' That damn door bell started ringing. Mom laughed. I was scared and ran around the

block freaked out. My sister cried. Doorbell never rang again. Three witnesses were present.
Another haunting occurred later. I was a young boy and started sleeping upstairs. I constantly felt watched, and that made it difficult to sleep. It was awful, but I had privacy. One night I was awakened by an odd sound. Next to my bed I placed old license plates I found on a shelf. The plates were violently shaking and tapping the wall. They were vibrating
