My family and I moved into a house in Grand Ledge back in 1987. Our home was built in the late 1800s. There is a lot of history of our home. The garage was a bakery; a portion of it was a men's clothing store and at one time it was a blind pig (an illegal gambling place).
There was a shoot out in our family home at one point in time; there is still bullet holes underneath the carpet... When I was about 13 or 14 years old I would wake up in the middle

of the night; my bedroom would be all smoky and men would be gambling in my bedroom.
At that time I had no idea that our home was once blind pig. Finding

that out as an adult now makes me realize that I probably wasn't having a nightmare like I thought I was when I was a child.
