I was having difficulty seeing and before I could catch were I was I was heading for a road that went right in to the river. It must have been a dead end. I somehow got lost on it. All I remember was a mass of water in front of me.
I hit my breaks but I was so close to the water. Something stopped my car right at the edge. I believe a ghost stopped it. There was no way I could have not driven into that river. My heart stopped in panic when my car

came to a halt.
I slowly backed up and got off the island as fast as I could. I have never returned but I believe something there helped save my

life.

I was born on Grosse Ile 32 wonderful years ago, and throughout my life living on this island I have never experienced any paranormal stories until a few weeks ago. Me and my adorable 10 year old son often enjoy going to play tennis at the tennis courts near the high school. There we will go at around 8:30 or so and just keep playing until he gets tired, and then I'll usually drive him out to get some cold ice cream afterwards.
But while we were playing a few weeks ago, I noticed a large, slightly overweight man with glasses walking past the tennis courts, staring at us intensely. I hadn't thought anything of it at first, thinking it was just another islander on a walk, however; as we kept playing something felt strange. I was feeling very claustrophobic all of the sudden, it felt like I could almost feel the presence of that fat individual near me.
