I lived in a home on the corner of Leroy and Bates Streets in East Jackson from birth until I was eight years old. My mom had lived there since she was a young teen. We rented the house from my grandma. The house was very haunted! All of our family knew it, and it made most of them too uncomfortable to ever come to visit. There were a man, woman, and what we think was their daughter. There would be lights turning themselves on and off, door slamming,

heavy footsteps all through the house, and dark figures walking through the house at night.
My uncle saw an older man sitting on the couch, and

he actually spoke to him only to go down to the basement and ask who was upstairs, and my dad said ''no one's here!'' They searched the house and found no one. My uncle would not come back after that. My sisters and brother were constantly tormented. We had things yelling our names. We were grabbed and scratched. My dad had a coffee cup fly up off the dresser and break against the wall above his head while he and my mom lay in bed watching a movie.
