I have had some encounters in Vandercook Lake. When I was about 12 in 2005 I was lying down in bed. It was about 10pm on a school night. I had a feeling something was watching me. I blew it off, and about ten minutes later I heard my guitar play two notes. I froze and couldn't move. My dad walked in about twenty minutes later. I told him about it, and he said ''oh you're just hearing things. '' In 2012 as I was telling the story to one of my friends, my dad looked at me and told me that yes it did happen and that he didn't want me scared, so he made up that I was hearing things.
One night in 2008 around 11pm I was over at a friend's house playing video games, and he got his guitar out and said that we should all go and get my guitar from my house. At this time our other friend came over on his bike, so we all walked to my dad's house (on the other side of Vandercook. ) We got my guitar, and my friend that was on the bike said ''hey you ride the bike. I will play the guitar. '' As we got on to 4th Street right next to the lake, I saw two people walking in the middle of the street. As my friend was playing the song he made up, we saw a vehicle turn down the street we were on. When the headlights hit the people they were gone out of nowhere. I didn't say anything because I thought I was just seeing stuff.

One of my friends said ''did you guys see the people on the street?'' My other friend said ''you mean the ones that just disappeared?'' As soon as he said that the vehicle's light turned off. It was gone. We got out of there as fast as we could.

On a different night that same summer I was over at the neighbor's playing video games. My friend said ''do you want to listened to some music and talk instead of playing games?'' I said yes. We talked for about a hour and decided to call it a night. I was lying in the chair, and he was on the coach. All of a sudden the TV and radio turned on. He said sometimes his dad put them on timers to turn on before he got home, so we unplugged both of them. The about fifteen minutes later it did it again. We both looked at each other, and then they turned off, so we stayed up to see if it would happen again. Next thing you know they turned on, but this time the radio was playing heavy metal, and the TV was on full blast with the fuzzy screen. It sounded like it was talking in a different language. We got our stuff and went to my dad's house.
If anyone knows of or have seen the people at the lake, please tell me about it. I can't find anything about it and would love to know.
