It isn't my house, but it isn't far from where I live. The house itself is condemned and surrounded by a huge fence, or it was. It was recently torn down. The story goes that a girl killed her parents there. She was sent to an institution for the criminally insane, so no one lived in the house. Apparently people would see lights on and a figure in the window. Being curious, I went for a drive and stopped. I took some pictures of the house because I thought it was amazing scenery. When I looked on my camera I can make out what looks like a man in the window. I lost the picture a while ago and wish I could find it.

We live in northern Michigan. Have you considered dogman's existence? Because it sounds very distinctly like that. He's been seen in our Kingsley area multiple times in the last decade. As they are pretty intelligent he's probably very curious about you.
But be careful. Dogman is not a force to be reckoned with.
