Without warning, our table and other objects in the house would float. It was not an everyday account mind you, but at about 7 years old, I was standing in the middle of the living room next to my brother and my mother was behind the TV console.
The lamp off of that console floated across the room and smashed on the floor in front of me. I yelled, ''i didn't do it''. My mothers eyes were open wide and she said, ''i know''. So believe it or not, this
house on mill st is haunted.|
My question is, does anyone know how I can find out who lived there prior to us? where is the history of owners of
homes? county clerks office''.|

Comment by no name: I would go on the computer and search your address and then the word ''history''.
Comment by Renee: Go to the Marguerite De Angeli Library. Ask to see plot maps and check out old newspaper articles to find out who owned the house, how long they owned it and possibly how or when they died. If I remember correctly the library only has records back to 1853.
Lansing has records back to 1837. If the house was built before 1837, the year Michigan became a state you will need to check records in Ohio. Before 1837 what is now Lapeer county was then Northern Oakland County part of the Ohio Territory.
