I lived in an old Victorian in down town Linden when we first started unpacking we had a friend helping the friend asked where's the basement and immediately the door to it flung itself open ( this door was original to the home...
It would stick and had to be unlatched to do this! ) shortly after we experienced footsteps that sounded like boots... A heel to toe noise on the floors throughout the home even on the carpet which would've been impossible to make!

The door to upstairs would open and shut on it's own and would actually do so by command one time it opened as I walked by and my husband would always

say oh it's just a draft soo I said shut it just to see what would happen and the darn door slammed it self! Scared me.
My sister would come to the house to watch my children while we worked and she refused to return after one evening the lights turned themselves on every time immediately after she would shut them off! There was also this boom that would shake the house through the floors it was as if something extremely heavy fell over and it happened
