Comment by Erin: Hi, Sue. To protect the current owners and their privacy I don't want to publicly share the house number. However, I've since moved back to the area and occasionally drive by it. It appears to be gutted now still vacant with renovations picking up and stopping over the years. I'm pretty sure the current owners are going through or have gone through what we experienced. There were a lot of details I didn't speak of when I wrote this years ago, one being the constant feeling the house wasn't set up as it should. I always told my husband the stairwell should've faced the front door and that the basement should've had a cellar door out back. We never made it to any renovations, but the fact the house has been gutted makes me question if the new owners also didn't get influenced to make the same changes we once considered.

I live in Linden on a Street that used to be a pond one day I heard a noise in my basement I went down and my basement was filled with 2 inches of water.. And some sort of red stuff I went upstairs to get the phone to call my husband..

When I went down there again it was all gone the only thing that remained was the smell of death... And some of the red stuff.
