and he was looking in the same place the man was and had vanished. He had the same look of ''what the hell was that!'' that I am sure I had on my face. I knew I wasn't alone, and he had seen the man too. I don't know what we saw that morning, but I know I won't forget it.

For years my father lived in an old, old house North of town, about a mile West of M-52 on Pleasant Lake Drive. This house had a long history, but nothing too outrageous.
There were over the years lots of weird reports of things half-seen in the middle of the night, but nothing clear and repeating save two things: Mirrors kept getting handprints all over them overnight (including one set with unnaturally long fingers), plus in a room on the ground floor that was originally a living room before an addition was built on the house however many years back could be heard, when it was night time and the room was empty, a man and a woman having a quiet conversation.
