by others, and yes, I believe the young man was unwelcome in Maybee that day.

I live on Smith St. In Maybee, and I am willing to bet that if this is true, it was my house. It is over 100 years old, built in 1907. It is my dream house, and I am very connected with it. Yes, there seems to be something 'supernatural' occupying the home with us. One is for sure a woman, but it's always in the corner of your eye, or has some possible explanation. It's usually not scary at all. I feel for the most part that if there are spirits here, they mean no harm, and could possibly be the reason we are relatively left alone.
There is this one time in my kitchen when I was looking for something to eat in the kitchen cabinet. I kind of crouched down to look further back in the cabinet, and I swear to God as my witness, I was pushed back about six feet and landed on my butt. I didn't feel anything touch me; it was more like a force. If it weren't for the fact that I went back so far I'd probably think I lost my footing, but it wasn't like that. It was some kind of force, but not super strong. It was like I was ejected away from that cabinet.
My friend was standing nearby making a sandwich and just looked at me like I was crazy. The look on her face was priceless because she is not one to believe in the supernatural. I didn't get hurt but it sure was eerie, kind of in a fun way. There was also a truly scary event that happened in the old Michigan basement. I didn't witness it, but I sure saw the look on my son's face after it happened. He was seventeen or so, and in no way a timid or fearful person. He actually went on to join the military and is now studying to be a police officer, as well as volunteers for search and rescue.
He and his friends, maybe four or five total, went to the basement with candles and a Ouija board. After just a few minutes, I heard teenagers pounding up the basement steps, all looking shocked and white in the face. They were too afraid to even go downstairs and extinguish the candles. I did and experienced nothing, not even fear. That was about seven years ago, and to this day, no one will tell me what happened down there. .

It was a late Saturday fall night back in 1993 if I remember the date correctly. I was around seventeen with two friends. They were eighteen and twenty at that time. We were riding in a car on Baldwin Road in Maybee Michigan. It was 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning. It was another boring calm and clear night without any money or anything to do, so the three of us just cruised around and hung out. We were driving into Maybee for no particular reason, and we came upon some intense fog. This was odd because we were cruising for some time and had not run into any fog all night. I had my window down and could feel ice cold air roll across my arm, which I did not think too much of at the time. We slowed down because the fog was getting increasingly thicker.
