In 2001 I got my first cell phone at 16. I got lost down town Detroit and my parents felt that it was very important to have one. I was one of the first of my friends to get one. I also had a land line phone in my very small bedroom.
It still even had a cord. It had a speaker phone and large buttons. One night I was getting in my PJs to get comfortable. I was going to watch a movie with my dad so I was in no way tired. I had my shirt pulled over my

arms and about to pull it over my head when I thought that I heard a dial tone.
I pulled my head through my shirt and did not move, just listened.

Then the speaker phone came on and it was for sure a dial tone. I stared at it. I hadn't used it in months because I was a teenager with a cell phone there was no reason to involve going through my parents any more.
It started to dial and I did not move, I just watched nothing around it. When it started ringing I sprang into action and hung up the phone-- it just was too scary. I ran into the room where my dad was waiting for me and told him
