I recently purchased a home in the Nims neighborhood. There have been two occasions where I have found unexplained puddles of water in my home. The first one was a single drop the size of a nickel. It was a perfect circle. Not a drip or splash there was no adjacent plumbing or leaks. A few months later I woke to find a puddle on the kitchen counter. There were again no leaks, no dishes or water in the sink, and no explanation. I have also heard

what sounds like a single chime like a xylophone on a few occasions. There are occasionally loud knocks above the front door that I like to attribute

to settling. The house was built in 1920, so anything is possible. I don’t feel uneasy here, but I’m starting to feel like I’m not entirely alone. . Submitted by Tracy
Comment by Angela: We used to live in Pinchtown (near the Nims neighborhood). We lived in a 125-year old home at the time. Many unexplained things happened over the course of 12 years, but the spookiest was this. My then-4-years son would talk about an imaginary man named Otto and that he would come and talk to him in his room. My son told me that the man was going to California. Years later I was reading a Muskegon history book, and it talked about a blacksmith named Otto from California that lived in that neighborhood. So creepy!.
