We live in a 2-story wood-frame home built in the 1920s at the east entrance to town, coming off Hwy 38. We have lived here now nearly six years. Previously the house sat empty for a couple of years following the previous owner's death. On many occasions during the night we have heard footsteps and things being moved about coming from the second floor, yet both our dog and cat are with us in our bedroom on the first floor, and no one else is in the house.

single most striking incident happened in summer 2014. My wife was looking for some craft-work (a hand-made doll) in order to enter it into our Ontonagon County Fair's competition. I personally looked through the storage boxes in our attic where I expected to find it. The doll was nowhere to be found. The next day I went upstairs to the walk-in attic one more time, and there, sitting right on top of a large cardboard box was my wife's doll out in plain
