In the woods east of town where Crockery Creek flows through the forest there's a really interesting phenomenon going on. The was a murder upstream in the 1800s where a group of people were killed and thrown in the river.
When it happened their blood turned the water of that little creek red and it stayed that way for a few hours based on witness accounts from the time. Ever since then this really strange thing happens if blood enters the creek downstream

from the murder site; the blood will flow upstream towards the murder location.
You can try pricking your finger for a drop and drip it in the creek

it will flow upstream. It only works with human blood and some say it doesn't work with anyone's blood either. All I can say it does work with my blood and I've gone with friends and it worked with theirs too.
