what about summertime? We didn't have central air conditioning! Needless to say, from age 13 on I would sleep downstairs in the living room on the couch to be left alone. It never seemed to bother me there.
Some of you may know who I am. We were a Catholic family who went to St. Augustine's School and Parish. My parents were well respected in the community as members of K of C and multi other church related groups. As for my teen years, I still
would never go into the basement alone, and NEVER into the old part, which had poured cement walls which from 1920, which were not smooth like today's
poured walls or even the block part.|
Now I am nearly 50 years old and try to visit Richmond as often as can. At least for Good Old Days weekend! I still have family who lived next door to that blue childhood home of mine. When we can, I try to bring my wife and kids to come to the Good Old Day Sunday parades as I would just sit at stare at that old house and wonder.
