were a lot of bitter people mad about ''the beautiful old house torn down for a parking lot,'' but they were just mad because they figured if my grampa could donate land to build the hospital, he could donate his house to the town. Those people didn't know the whole story. It was not only an unsafe building. It was very haunted. I wonder if the phenomena experienced in the Neiman's store has a connection to the original building that stood there.

anyone has any history about the Prescott family who lived there in the 1880s, I would be very interested to hear it.

I work at Neimans in Tawas and if you ask anyone who works the night stock shift or in the bakery they will tell you it is haunted!! One night I was coming in off of my 15min brake and I had already punched in.
I was walking down the coffee isle when I saw this man in a blue suit like a maintenance man would wear walk into the back room. When I got back there one if the night stock employees was back there (wearing our orange shirt) and I asked him if he saw anyone come back there and he said no.
So I told him what I had seen. He looked around the store and he didn't see anything. The next day I told upper management. They pulled the security tapes and sure enough they caught him on tape.
