I forgot to add that in my haunted house there was a day when my husband was working on pine wood derby cars in the basement. He made sure to put the slide lock on the outside of the basement door, so that our 3 year old son wouldn't fall down into the basement.
A few minutes later the door flew open with a bang! Our 3 year old son went running toward the door happily exclaiming, ''dad-o! Dad-o! '' I yelled to him, ''it's not dad-o. It's a ghost. '' he quickly turned and ran from the door screaming, ''ghost! '' it was just weird!.

Our old haunted house was torn down and we built a larger home on the property. The ''portal'' where most of the activity emanated is now the bathroom area.
