I used to rent a house on West Rd in Washington built in the 1800s; it is by far the scariest place I have been. Full body, black shadows, voices and female ghost (I know because I saw their boots and skirts ).
They never hurt us but scared me and my children quite a bit. So glad to be out of there . All I can say is I am happy to be out and good luck to the new owners; notice they don't ever stay too long .

Comment by The babysitter: I used to babysit at a house on West Road. Was it the first house next to the old fire department? There was a ghost in that house, and I have some really crazy stories from my time babysitting there.

I know there are two octagon houses on Van Dyke in Washington / Romeo Michigan. The one I remember had a yellow exterior. I don't think it was brick but it was way back in the late 70s.
I had a chance to go through the place, and while I was there I swore I heard children laughing!! There were no children at all there the day I was there. And at one point I thought I saw this mist by the stairs.
