I live in Mill Port. Well, we had always heard that the canal was haunted. It was deer season this past year. I was standing beside the old canal. I began to see what looked like an old miners light headed towards me about 100 yards away. It got closer and closer until it was about 20 yards away. Then it just disappeared. Submitted by Michael

While on patrol in the middle of the night I saw 2 dogs that were loose, so I parked my patrol vehicle and walked to a parking lot where I thought I saw them go. Moments went by, and there were no signs of either said dogs. Next thing I know someone or something hit the car next to me really hard that it made the antenna move back and forth really fast. I checked the area and even underneath the car, and nothing was near or around the car. The moment I heard that impact I got severe chills.

Can I personally say I don't believe in ghosts but I do have an open mind. I grew up on Ashville literally from birth 'til now (26) there isn't much to do in Ashville as a child except walking and exploring so I did a lot half the time by myself at night or after midnight. I've been everywhere n that town at night; every street, every alley... Nothing ever happened, nothing scary (except the cops) but I will end this w/ something:
