I have a very creepy story about Belle Valley, Ohio. As a young kid in the 60s my uncle owned a very large three-floor store on the corner of the main intersection. The store/restaurant was on the first floor; my uncle's family lived on the second floor, and the scary third floor was basically a storage area. The third floor was a place where all of us kids were always trying to explore. We would attempt to use the old rope pulley elevator to get to the

off limits third floor only to be stopped by an adult telling us that it was dangerous and unsafe.
One raining Saturday while the adults were visiting

in the restaurant; we were able to finally get to the third floor. As we exited the ancient elevator, we all got the dark dusty view of a very long room that was the third floor. As we walked out of the elevator and continued past old stored furniture from the 1920s and high stacks of old boxes, we finally were at the far end of the third floor.
We all stood there for what seemed to be several minutes before my cousin said ''we should go. '' Just
