I didn't even realize that I'd been on this site before until I read this. But honestly this was off of Housel Craft between the highway and Corey Hunt with the hidden graveyards though. I just came across a site by accident that listed ''ghost towns'' in Ohio but was mostly sticking with towns that just kind of went extinct for one reason or another, and there were a surprisingly high amount of them between Bristol, Mecca, Bazetta, and Champion.
Hell, one of my old school friends' house was apparently right on top of one called Wassie (not the friend whose house I mentioned in the story). Most of them were around between about 1776-1870. Actually one of them claimed that one of the first landowners in the Mahoning Valley had a farm in Mecca which is probably now mostly under Mosquito Lake, so that should have been about 1780s given the details. I also realize I didn't tell my story particularly well. However, all other information I've been able to gleen over the years is that they had a neighbor who owned two houses next door and most of the woods around the house.

I always wanted to explore, but my friend said not to because that neighbor was paranoid about people sneaking up on him and had booby trapped the woods there. She also said that once her and her friends were fooling around and broke into the man's second house that was locked up, and no one ever went in there. They said that they found a dead body in the bed in the bedroom which had rotted away to a skeleton, and they presumed that it must have been the man's mother. Third that friend's father had been from Champion and had disappeared after he violently murdered a woman, but they're certain he is still alive. I also know someone who used to live on the other side of the block who said that they'd had very odd paranormal experiences in the woods behind that house.

When I was younger like around 3-4 years old we used to live in this old ugly apartment. There was a bar underneath, and the top was the apartment. Yeah I lived in the apartment. I don't remember of all what happened because I was so young. My mom remembers though. She'd tell me all the time that I'd sit in front of the door just staring at it for like a good five minutes. Then I'd yell and scream ''dead man, dead man'' at the door, and I'd run under the dining room table.
