My family lived at the caretaker's house for the Christian house for 10 years (1976-1984 roughly). My father took care of the the house, cleaning and landscaping etc. I helped him out a lot. You can get a sense that you aren't welcome at times. You could hear footsteps and see curtains move. In the summer (at the time we lived there) no central air was at the home. the troops trained for the Union Army at Camp Dennison for the Civil War. We would hear it off in the distance too. The house was home to the first paper mill in Ohio then the headquarters for General Bates of the Union army. It also was a hospital for the critically wounded at the camp. I believed that the kitchen was the operating room. As far as I know this home is open May-October. Enjoy!. Submitted by Anonymous
